Non-Classical Logic and Computation Special Session on Hybrid Models for Dealing with Uncertain Information (HMUI)

Introduction

Uncertain information processing is an important issue in knowledge discovery and data mining. The researchers have proposed some mathematical models to dealing with uncertain information, such as fuzzy set theory, rough set theory, soft set theory, formal concept analysis and so on. These models are closely related but distinct in essence. This special session aims at providing an opportunity for researchers working these research areas to share their novel ideas in fundamental, approaches, methodologies, and applications.

Scope and Topics

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
  • Foundations and applications of rough sets
  • Foundations and applications of soft sets
  • Formal concept analysis
  • Hybrid rough-soft sets
  • Hybrid fuzzy-soft sets
  • Granular computing
  • Rule based systems
  • Multi-granulation concept lattice
  • Multi-granulation rough set

Submission

Papers reporting original research results and experience are solicited. Each paper should have no more than 8 pages, including references and Illustrations, written in IEEE conference proceedings format (See the templates available at: Paper Templates). Papers must be written in English and submitted electronically as a PDF/Word file at EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iske2017, and please select the Non-Classical Logic and Computation Special Session on HMUI. Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, if the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the conference to present the paper.
